Track like the pros. Play smarter. Drop strokes fast.
Roundabout’s Trends dashboards turn raw stats into clear momentum lines, so you can spot improvement—or slippage—before it shows up on your scorecard. They live alongside the rest of your analysis tools, and they update automatically after every round.

What you’ll find & how to use it
Handicap Trend
Where to tap: Analyze → Strokes Gained → swipe until you see Handicap
What it tells you: Blue line = Roundabout HC after every round.
Action to take: Plateau for 5+ rounds? Revisit Strokes Gained Strength & Weakness chart (at the top of the Analyze screen) which will indicate where you're performing poorly relative to your target handicap (driving, approach, short, or putting)
Strokes Gained (Total & by Area)
Where to tap: Analyze → Strokes Gained to see stacked bar chart. Swipe to see Driving, Approach, Short-Game, Putting
What it tells you: Lines show 1, 5, 10, 20- or All-round rolling average selected via the filter button at the bottom right of the chart.
Action to take: Line Slope ↑ = keep the routine. Line slope ↓ = move that area to top of practice list.
Scorecard Wreckers
Where to tap: Virtual Coach → Eliminate Mistakes → See Details
What it tells you: Tiles track 3-putts, 2-chips, and penalties per round.
Action to take: Cut the highest number first—it’s the fastest stroke saver.
Fairways & GIR %
Where to tap: Analyze → Driving Accuracy / Greens Per Round
What it tells you: Percentage over time for tee shots & approaches.
Action to take: If GIR dips while Fairway % rises, work on distance control, not direction.
Driving Distance Trend
Where to tap: Analyze → Driving Distance
What it tells you: Longest Drive (black) and Average Drive (blue) with dots for each round. For this chart, “Drives” are tee shots on holes with par = 4 or greater (par 3s and below are excluded as they often don’t require a player to use their full driving distance).
Action to take: Pair with Club Gapping—update Smart Distances when the line shifts.
Putting Trend
Where to tap: Analyze → Putting
What it tells you: Make % by distance band and 3-putt rate.
Action to take: To improve putting focus on distance band with worst strokes gained putting performance. In general, players will always miss more on longer putts, but strokes gained corrects for this effect.
Example: The left-most column (putts < 3ft) has the highest success rate of shots made, but it also has the worst strokes gained value, so this player should focus time here to improve rather than improving their performance on longer putts because it’s likely to be higher ROI on time spent practicing.
Virtual Coach re-ranks these areas daily—use its trend arrows to see what’s improving with practice or declining from neglect. (roundaboutapp.com)

Turn lines into lower scores
Set micro-goals. Aim for a –2 SG shift or +5 % GIR over the next 10 rounds instead of vague “get better” targets.
Validate practice. After a week of wedge work, open the Short-Game SG line—green climb means drills are working.
Spot early warning signs. A creeping rise in 3-putt rate tells you to schedule a putting check-up now, not after the blow-up round.
Share with a coach. Screenshot any chart to give instructors concrete data—they’ll love the clarity.
Pro tips
Log every round. Gaps in data = jagged, unreliable trends.
Sync weather. Eagle Subscribers can use Virtual Caddie to get “plays-like” adjustments that help keep Driving Distance honest on windy days. Users who aren't on the Eagle subscription plan will not have driving distances adjusted for wind and elevation. Upgrade your subscription here.
Celebrate dips. When Handicap Trend crosses inside your target band, drop the target another 3–5 strokes to keep pushing.
